Debra Schwartz is Managing Director, Impact Investments, for the MacArthur Foundation–a private, global philanthropy with approximately $6.5 billion in assets. MacArthur has dedicated $500 million to impact investments, focusing on climate, Chicago, and a new global initiative, the Catalytic Capital Consortium. Previously, Debra was an investment banker in public finance and a CFO for a nonprofit. She is a past presidential appointee to the US Treasury Community Development Advisory Board and a founding board member of the Mission Investors Exchange. Debra holds an MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s degree from Yale.
